Thank you, ex-Playstation friend

I got a pretty amusing text from my video gaming Whatsapp group last night:

Yo boys, [our now ex-friend] says he unfriended all of us on Playstation

And @Nicholas, he said he's pissed at you specifically

Ummm.... okay?

Mate, if you're pissed at me, at least have the guts to say it to my face lol.

But since he didn't, I get to use this as fodder for my email today.

So thank you every much, ex-friend 💁🏻‍♂️

I've had a few squabbles with him anyway and he was my least favourite person on my Playstation friends list.

So him deleting himself out of my radar was a huge favour for me.

Thank you, again 💁🏻‍♂️

Look what a gentleman I am, eh

Anyway, this is what I replied my friends in the group:

GOOD

We all had a good laugh last night about what possibly transpired that could have pissed off a man so bad, but I guess we'll never know.

This reminds me of my Quarter Quell, where I throw out any stuff I didn't use consistently for the past three months

I never figured quelling could involve getting rid of people too so that's nice to know 🤣

We're entering the final straight of the year so, if you're bogged by what you could do to have a strong start in 2025, I'd say, do your own Quell.

Get rid of things you're not using, throw out the junk you're hoarding, and clear up the messy things in your life.

When I started doing my quells this year, I started to feel like I actually owned my things, and not the other way around, which was very freeing.

I suggest you try a quell out for yourself!

But don't get pissed and unfriend me, alright? 😎

Today’s email is going out much later than I’d like - I usually prefer to send them before noon, but I’m at my parents’ place for Boxing Day dinner later, so I’m writing this at my desk in my old room. I’m getting close to 100 consecutive daily emails now, and if there’s one lesson this streak has taught me, it’s that starting late might not be perfect, but it’s still better than not starting at all. I’m also juggling a busy and heavy period with work and...

The other day, I got a call from yet another unknown number. I panicked for a moment thinking back to the time my old workplace called me while I was shopping for groceries. But I wasn’t that busy this time, so I picked up out of curiosity, An automated voice answered me: “Hello, I’m from JobStreet, and your resume has been approved…” 🤮 I hung up immediately, but I wish I had let it ramble on because it would have given me great email fodder to write more stories. Still, scams like these make...
