I have some gifts for you today

Merry Christmas! 🎅🏻🎁

I have a couple of small gifts for you today. These are some of my favourite resources on mental health, exercise, and productivity which I enjoy.

May they benefit you as much as they’ve helped me throughout the year.

Mental Health

Exercise

KneesOverToesGuy - YouTube Channel

This channel has been life changing for my lower body mobility. His videos helped me regain range of motion, undo years of sitting, and build a stronger body that lets me enjoy football without having to worry if I’ll get injured. If you need practical exercises to start today, this is the place to go.

Kyle Boges - YouTube Channel

You know I never recommend fluff, and Kyle’s videos are the pinnacle of simplicity - almost always under 5 minutes, zero time wasted in long intros, and holistic fitness advice that doesn’t feel like it’s forced down your throat.

If you haven’t already, check out my post on the 6 Vile Secrets of the Fitness Industry. It’s a deep dive into some of the shocking truths I uncovered during my years as a personal trainer.

Productivity

How to Be Great? Just Be Good, Repeatably

Turns out that being great is not about endless productivity but about seeing greatness as consistent, good work over time.

This simple yet profound idea has shaped how I approach work, and why I prioritise the process of showing up vs getting too fixated on goals - maybe it will for you too.

Have a jolly great day ahead 😄

"Why are you making us pay the bill?" I ask, genuinely confused. "Because didn’t you ask for the bill?" the trainee waitress shoots back, sounding annoyed as if I’m backtracking on something I requested. We’d already had our appetisers, but our main course was taking forever. This back-and-forth went on for a couple more exchanges before she finally understood what I was trying to say: “No, listen,” I say slowly, for what feels like the hundredth time. “We don’t want the bill. We just want to...
